At first I was a little hesitant to purchase this. The basic design is nothing new so to me this all boiled down to the type of water pump that was being used. I sent Harry a message asking about the pump and he responded with the answer the same day. Once he told me the model of pump being used I went ahead and placed the order. The order was shipped on the same day and Harry quickly sent me a confirmation email with the tracking number. The generator was well packed and protected for shipping. Harry also included a “Remember Our neighborhood Stores” calendar which my Wife fell in love with right away! I was able to get the generator out of the box and making foam in no time flat. I work for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. I work with a number of Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineers.
WhenI discussed this with them and I showed them various plans, they all agree that the Aircrete Harry design is superior for large scale project work and, as one said,”it’s less work to operate than the others, and that will always be my pick.“
The reason for this is in the intuitive design of the foam generator. Because it allows for the open line to be dropped into the soap solution in ANT size container, you could make a 50 gallon container if you so chose and you’d never have to worry about making more solution for a solid week+, project depending. The rest of the generator works exactly as any other — it makes good, thick, high quality foam. But all of the professionally registered engineers (registered in the States of Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma) agreed that the Aircrete Harry design was considered superior in their professional opinion.
I have used both the Aircrete Harry and the HDC versions and having that open line system is a no brainer. So of course I wanted my opinion validated so I went to the engineers and they confirmed it. I’m only posting this because I saw some guy elsewhere in the comments saying that the hdc one was better… unless you’re a professional licensed working for the Department of Defense, Department of Army, USACE, charged with keeping the dam and levee systems of Amarica working in order to provide power to tens of millions of Americans on a daily basis… I think I’m going to listen to my co-workers on this one, and everyone else should too.
For me, it’s the Aircrete Harry Foam Generator all day long. Edit: Oh yea, one of the senior level engineer managers said that he REALLY liked the foot pedal because he’s older and his back aches. So if that is a consideration for you, then it’s a no brainer since this is the only system with elderly-friendly, disabled-friendly pedal system. No other Aircrete Foam Generator has this.
